Description

Population health interventions are intended to shift the distribution of risk and illness in entire populations or communities by targeting the social, cultural and environmental determinants rather than through clinical approaches targeting individual patients and their families.

The intervention is not under the direct control of any member of the team

Research on rapidly unfolding programs, policies and resource distribution approaches, in particular the study of policies

Funds available

Total amount: $1,600,000

Maximum amount per grant: $100,000 per year for up to 2 years

Additional source of funding for highly rated applications that are relevant to population health intervention research, broadly defined, offered through the CIHR Operating Grant competition

  • This priority announcement will require the completion of a Relevance Form.
  • Clinical approaches targeting individual patients and families are not eligible

Total amount: $ 200,000

Maximum amount per grant: $100,000 per year for up to one (1) year
